Living Sounds Hearing Centre Ltd. is pleased to offer both FM and Infrared systems for small and medium sized sound field requirements. Let us provide customized quotes upon consultation with our FM System experts.
FM System
An FM system is a wireless system that can be used with or without a personal hearing device. It has two parts: a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is placed near, or plugged directly into, the sound source such as a television or someone speaking publicly. The sound is carried via FM radio waves to the receiver worn by the hard of hearing person, where it is amplified and directed to the ear.
FM systems can be tailored and installed in rooms of any size for both commercial and personal application. Transmissions can range from 100 to 12,000 feet.
Infrared Systems
Infrared systems are similar to the FM systems except they transmit over infrared waves instead of radio waves.
Systems are available for places of worship and classrooms in schools, colleges and universities. These systems are also very effective in the hospitality industry in banquet rooms, meeting rooms, and in-house suitcase packages for room guests. Continuing care facilities can offer increased communication for seniors when offering systems in the chapel, fitness room, craft room and social and dining room areas.
