Can You Hear It?

Posted by Living Sounds

We live in a busy and noisy world, which can sometimes make hearing difficult. This is especially true when it comes to volume, which can already be too loud or quiet. We often hear from our clients about how watching television can be difficult, depending on the volume chosen by those around us. Even things like your ability to hear your alarm clock can be greatly affected by your hearing ability. Not to worry, solutions exist that can help with these tricky situations!

There are products available called Assisted Listening Devices, or ALDs for short. For those that struggle with the TV volume, Living Sounds offers a product called TV ears. These TV ears make it possible for someone with hearing loss to watch television with others, at a normal volume. This wireless device works by simply setting the volume to their desired level, and then watching like you normally would.

Your wake-up call can also be assisted with the use of an amplified alarm clock system, which provides a loud alarm that’s supplemented by a shaking device (placed under the pillow). You’ll have a restful sleep knowing that you’ll have less of a chance of sleeping in.

There are many other devices available at Livings Sounds that are able to assist with similarly challenging situations. For more information, browse or shop our website at livingsounds.ca or contact our knowledgeable staff at any of our many Living Sounds Hearing Centre Locations.
