The Things We Take For Granted

Posted by Living Sounds

There are many things in life that we can sometimes take for granted, but it is so important to appreciate and recognize the people and little moments that we are grateful for each day.

As part of Living Sounds admin team, I am often asked questions about hearing aids, even though I am not an Audiologist or Hearing Aid Practitioner. Fortunately, I work with an extremely knowledgeable team of staff who are readily available to answer any and all of my questions. I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing team!

I am so lucky to be part of our clients hearing journey, and that I get to watch something make a positive impact on their lives! One of the most satisfying parts of my job is watching our clients’ eyes light up when they recount hearing the sound of the wind, birds, and even traffic, for the first time in years. More often than not, clients come running back into the office, after having had a hearing aid fitting, and are crying tears of joy because they have heard sounds that we often take for granted.

Another thing that I sometimes take for granted is our reception area. From our inviting receptionist to the coffee, tea, cookies and candies, there is a lot to be thankful for. Our reception area is so inviting that our clients even stay longer to visit with our friendly staff or just to relax and sip their coffee while they watch TV, which they can now properly hear thanks to their new hearing aids.

There is not a day that goes by without learning something new in this industry, which is another thing I am grateful for! I truly enjoy working for such a wonderful company and with the amazing staff at Living Sounds Hearing Centre.
